Charlie Collins grew up with music-obsessed parents in the country music hub of Australia, Tamworth.
Johnny Cash and Patsy Cline were main inspirations and would shape the bands Charlie played in with her siblings as well as Tigertown who toured with Panic At The Disco, Troye Sivan, Tove Lo.
In 2018, she went solo, developing a singular, hard-to-pin-down sound that oscillates between different genres and distinct musical eras.
Her debut album Snowpine (2019) was nominated for Best Country Album at the ARIA awards and won the Best Independent Country Album AIR Award in 2020. In 2022 Charlie released her sophomore album Undone, which was also nominated for Best Blues + Roots Album at the ARIA awards.
Charlie has previously supported Orville Peck, Gang of Youths, Sam Fender and Waxahatchee. Previous Festival appearances include Laneway, Fairgrounds, Woodford Festival, Splendour In The Grass, CMC Rocks. Charlie has also previously written/worked with Sydney songwriter Xavier Dunn (Jack River, GRAACE), Japanese Wallpaper Jarryd James, Kasey Chambers, Justin Tranter and Neil Finn.
